Join the Bechtler and artist Hildur Ásgeirsdóttir Jónsson for a free day of art, creativity, and all-ages family fun as we celebrate the opening of "Hildur Ásgeirsdóttir Jónsson: Infinite Space, Sublime Horizons." Explore Jónsson's stunning watercolors and large-scale paintings created on a loom that evoke the otherworldly landscape of Iceland, where the artist was born and raised. Enjoy artful conversations and activities with your family!

FAMILY DAY ACTIVITIES 

Make Your Own Weaving (Lobby)

Try your hand at weaving using yarn handheld looms and create a mini artwork to take home!

 

Ask an Artist (Fourth-Floor Gallery)

Meet artist Hildur Jónsson and hear about the inspiration behind her artwork. Then ask her your questions! Each talk is 30-minutes and takes place at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 12:30 PM.
