Wednesday, April 10

5:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Free Admission
6:15 PM and 7:30 PM: Performances

In conjunction with Charlotte SHOUT! we invite you to join us for a special Wednesday Night Live celebrating modernism in music with two 30-minute performances by The Orchestra Mosaic Project. This unique performance is designed to complement the current exhibition "On the Horizon: Landscapes from the Collection." Similar to how the exhibition showcases landscapes through various 20th-century artists' viewpoints, music from that era can also mirror societal cultural differences and folk customs. The musical selection for the evening includes compositions by American, Italian, and German composers, paying homage to classical symphonies and the iconic Mr. Beethoven. The Orchestra Mosaic Project, conducted by Alan Yamamoto, brings together students, faculty, professional coaches, and performers from the UNC Charlotte and Queens University music departments.

Johannes Brahms – Hungarian Dances, No. 1
Charles Ives – Country Band March
Vittorio Monti – Czárdás, featuring Joseph Skillen, Tuba Soloist
Ludwig van Beethoven – Fifth Symphony, Mvts III & IV

 5 - 9 PM  | Free Admission
6:15 - 6:45 PM | First Performance
7:30 - 8:10 PM | Second Performance
