About the Program

Monday, October 19 Bechtler Ensemble Concert (6 PM)

Experience an evening of music filled with lyrical beauty, vibrant movement, and irresistible rhythm featuring the Bechtler Ensemble. The program moves from the tenderness of Manuel M. Ponce’s Estrellita to the driving energy of Javier Álvarez’s Metro Chabacano and the celebratory pulse of Arturo Márquez’s Danzón No. 2.

Inspired by Making an Impression: Pioneering Latin American Printmakers, the evening brings music and visual art into conversation while highlighting the creative connection between composer Carlos Chávez and artist Rufino Tamayo. For this concert, the Bechtler Ensemble will include Agata Miklavc (violin 1), Tatiana Karpova (violin 2), Vasily Gorkovoy (viola), and Tanja Bechtler (cello).

This program is part of the Bechtler’s Music Monday concert series and is presented with support from BelleCapital.
