About the Program

Listeners of all ages are sure to enjoy harmonious selections from Sergei Prokofiev’s symphonic fairytale for children, “Peter and the Wolf," a classic educational and entertaining story about an adventurous boy and a hapless wolf. The Bechtler Ensemble, led by Tanja Bechtler, brings Prokofiev’s work to life through spirited instruments that portray characters including the duck, bird, cat, wolf, hunters, Peter, and his grandfather. The whole family will love this charming tale and wonderful introduction to classical music. This program is free for children 10 and under.

REGISTRATION: Concert tickets are $10 for members, $14 for nonmembers, and $5 for students (with proof of ID). FREE tickets for ages 10 and under. Firebird Circle, Curator's Circle, and Director's Circle members receive complimentary admission. Advance registration is required to guarantee seating.
