About the Program

Music and Museum: Family Notes returns for its second year! This family-friendly program brings the musical composition "Peter and the Wolf" by Sergei Prokofiev to life. Ever wondered why Peter is represented by the string family and the Wolf by the horns? This timeless masterpiece is a charming tale that not only entertains but also educates children about different musical instruments and their sounds. In a fun-filled interactive performance, the Bechtler Ensemble, led by Tanja Bechtler, uses various instruments to represent each character. Adding to the magic, Frank Dominguez from WDAV Classical Public Radio, will be reciting parts of the narration.

Music and Museum: Family Notes isn't just entertainment – it's an enriching musical adventure for the whole family and is free for children 10 and under.

REGISTRATION: Concert tickets are $10 for members, $14 for nonmembers, and $5 for students (with proof of ID). FREE tickets for ages 10 and under. Firebird Circle, Curator's Circle, and Director's Circle members receive complimentary admission. Advance registration is required to guarantee seating.
