The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art offers an array of innovative opportunities for patrons to enrich their museum experiences. Programs are developed for a range of audiences from those who are already art enthusiasts to those who look to the Bechtler for their introduction to 20th-century modern art.
ARCHITECTURE + FILM
The Architecture + Film series investigates themes in modern and contemporary architecture through the lens of film.
Mid-century art meets mid-century music. Monthly jazz concerts are performed in the museum lobby and feature local and regional performers.
GUEST LECTURES
The Bechtler presents lectures by museum directors, art historians and other experts several times per year.
MODERN MONDAYS
The Modern Mondays series is an informal, interactive opportunity to participate in hands-on activities, tours and featured lectures about exhibitions and individual works in the Bechtler collection.
The Music and Museum series combines visual art, classical musical compositions and discussions connecting chamber music and 20th-century modern art.
FAMILY DAY
Held at least three times a year, Family Day events offer children and their families opportunities to engage with modern art through art-making activities and family-focused museum tours.
