Guest Lecture: Eames Demetrios

Design Vs. Style and other Eames Philosophies

The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is excited to welcome Eames Demetrios as its Distinguished Guest Lecturer. Best known in the design world for his work as director of the Eames Office, his role is instrumental in extending the work of mid-20th century designers Charles and Ray Eames to new generations of enthusiasts. Eames Demetrios is also an accomplished artist, writer and filmmaker and has spoken throughout the US and internationally.

The lecture, titled Design vs. Style and other Eames Philosophies, will be an interactive discussion with Eames Demetrios about the legacy of Charles and Ray Eames.

The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for the public, $8 for museum members. Buy tickets online. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 704.353.9200 or by visiting the admission desk. Modernist Society and Ambassador Society members will be invited to a seated dinner at the museum following the lecture. Please join us for this memorable evening!
