Family Day
LOCATION: THROUGHOUT MUSEUM
FEBRUARY 11
Kids of all ages are invited to the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art Saturday, February 11 from noon to 4:30 p.m. to unleash their creative energy while learning about the museum’s collection.
Hands-on art activities based on methods and materials addressed in the exhibition A Legacy of Friendship: Hans Bechtler’s Birthday Book will connect participants to the creative process. Children 5 and older can make one-of-a-kind, monoprint cards and glue-resist paintings influenced by artist Mark Tobey. Additional art projects will explore geometry, line and color through techniques used in the exhibition Geometry and Experimentation: European Art of the 1960s and 1970s.
Admission to Family Day is free for everyone under 18 years old; all others receive a discounted ticket price of $4. Museum members are free.
On Family Day, all children's merchandise in the museum store will be discounted 10 percent.
