Two artists key to the Bechtler collection and exhibitions are the one-time husband-and-wife team of Niki de Saint Phalle and Jean Tinguely. Their relationship was one of passionate creativity and collaboration. Their work individually, together and with a circle of artist friends, was defined by vibrancy, vitality and exploration. Theirs was La Vie Fantastique – The Fantastic Life.

On May 21 from 7 to 11 p.m., the vivacity and originality of this couple's work will be celebrated in an event to benefit the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art.
